Anne West Lindsey District Library Board accepts additions to policy manual

Anne West Lindsey District Library Board of Trustees met Tuesday, June 28.

Anne West Lindsey District Library Board of Trustees Meeting

June 28, 2016

All board members were present except Bill Slider and Sheri Hunter. Staff members attending were Mary Stoner, Pam Alstat, and Dave Cole.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by acting board president, Butch Waggoner, and a quorum was determined.

The agenda was approved with a motion made by Elaine Miskell; seconded by Debbie Johnson.

Minutes from the May 24, 2016 meeting were read and approved with a motion made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Elaine Miskell.

Minutes from the June 2, 2016 special board meeting were read and approved with modifications by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Elaine Miskell.

The financial secretary’s report was presented by Dave Cole and accepted with a motion made by Jim Koonce; seconded by Debbie Johnson.

A motion was made by Elaine Miskell; seconded by Jim Koonce to give Dave Cole the authority to transfer $58,001.87 into a special reserve account at Peoples National Bank.

The library director’s report was presented by Mary Stoner and accepted with a motion made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Pat Searcy.

A motion was made by Jim Koonce; seconded by Debbie Johnson to accept additions to the Policy Manual.

A motion was made by Elaine Miskell; seconded by Jim Koonce to accept the Prevailing Wage Ordinance 15-05 concerning the prevailing wage.

A motion was made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Elaine Miskell to accept Ordinance 15-06 concerning setting board meeting dates.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. with a motion by Pat Searcy; seconded by

Elaine Miskell.

The next regular board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on July 26, 2016.
