President Jason Simpson called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.

Rhonda Clark made a motion to approve the February 20, 2018 regular meeting minutes with no corrections noted. Second by Derek Smothers.

Superintendent Julie Harrelson presented the Treasurer’s Report and current financial information. Bank balances as of February 28, 2018.

Mrs. Harrelson presented the Superintendent’s Report; Safe School Helpline now in place. Information was sent home with students and posted on the school’s Facebook page and will be added to our school website. Crisis Management Plan has been updated in response to the recent school shootings. Teachers and staff participated in an active shooter drill earlier this month. Sonitrol has submitted a quote for new cameras for the school. Exterior only cameras quoted $10,340 with an $89 per month monitoring fee. Exterior and interior cameras quoted $15,786 with a $129 per monitoring fee. Tingle the Twine basketball camp held by Jim Corona on April 25th free of charge to the students. Recent compliance visit from the ROE resulted in no findings for the district. Sports Boosters have purchased a court cleaning machine for the gym. The 3rd and 4th grade basketball team coached by Rob Edwards has donated $1,700 to the Sports Boosters. The boosters are discussing purchasing additional track and cross country jerseys, donating $500 for softball diamond work at Southwest Park, coordinating summer scrimmage, and purchasing a new scoreboard for the gym. The 7th grade tournament hosted at New Hope raised $4,200 for the Sports Boosters.
