The June 12th, 2018 meeting of the Mcleansboro Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the Township building located at 105 Carpenter Street in McLeansboro, Illinois.

There were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting:

Minutes from the May 2018 meeting were read by the Clerk. Two corrections to those minutes (one regarding the individual who seconded the approval of minutes and the other regarding the amount of the Coal Mine Road budgeted expenditures) were noted by the board. A motion was made by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Jamie Ellis to approve the minutes as corrected. Motion carried. The Clerk indicated the appropriate changes would be made.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss

New Business:

- Donation for Renovation of the Isaac Walton Building: At some previous point, the City of Mcleansboro had requested a donation from the Township to help with the renovation of the Isaac Walton building located at the city reservoir. A payment of $250.00 was made by the Township at that time. Since then, the building has been demolished. As the donation was not used for its original purpose, a motion was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Becky Cross to request the City return to the Township the $250.00 donation. Motion carried.

- Prevailing Wage Ordinance: A copy of the current year’s Prevailing Wage Ordinance was presented to the board for discussion. After review, a motion was made by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Kyle Ingram to approve the ordinance which will be designated as Ordinance 2018-4. Motion carried.

- Joint Posting of the Prevailing Wage Ordinance: By statute, it is required that notice of the approval of the Prevailing Wage Ordinance be posted in the local newspaper. Supervisor Gray stated he had been contacted by City Clerk, Fred Vallowe regarding the possibility of having that notice be jointly place in the newspaper by a number of yet to be determined government entities. If approved, the posting will be made by the County Clerk. Motion by Becky Cross and seconded by Kyle Ingram to approve the proposed joint posting. Motion Carried.

- Secondary Signer on Township Bank Accounts: As the most recent approved secondary signer of Township bank accounts (Bill Ingram) is no longer on the board, a motion was made by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Becky Cross to appoint Kyle Ingram to be the secondary signer for all necessary accounts. Being no further discussion, Motion carried.
