City of McLeansboro Township Board met April 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The April 9th, 2024 Township board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the McLeansboro Township building. There were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the March 2023 meeting were read by the Clerk. As there were no corrections to be made, a motion to approve the minutes as written, was made by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Bob Brockett. Motion carried.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

New Business:

- Budgets: The proposed 2024-2025 budgets for both the Township and the Road District were provided to the Board for review. After receiving an overview of both documents, a motion to tentatively approve the Township budget (Ordinance 2024-1) was made by Bob Brockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram. Motion carried. In addition, a motion was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson to tentatively approve the Road and Bridge budget (Ordinance 2024-2). That motion also carried.

Monthly Claims

- Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims were provided for review. Motion by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Bob Brockett to pay those bills. Motion carried.

- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented to the Board. Motion by Bob Brockett and seconded by Kyle Ingram to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Bob Brockett and seconded by Dennis Johnson. Motion Carried
