City of Carmi City Council met Nov. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The Carmi City Council held a special meeting at City Hall on November 20, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Prior to opening the council meeting, Mayor Stendeback asked Alderman Bradshaw to give to give the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Stendeback presided with the following Alderpersons present: Greg Knight, Mark W. Blake, Jack Bradshaw, Doug Hays, Tracy Nelson, Jeremy Courson, and Lacey Bradshaw. ABSENT: Mike Knight.

For council consideration, discussion, and possible approval

Presentation of credit card processing fees. No action to follow. Discussion only. Four Proposals were presented by the following banks; Banterra, People’s Bank, First Bank, and First Mid Bank and Trust. First Bank’s proposal did not include the interchange fees which will be sent to Carmi Light and Water at a later date. All proposals are available to view in the Council Meeting Minute Book located in the City Clerk’s office.

Adjournment

At 9:50 a.m. Alderperson Lacey Bradshaw made a motion adjourn. The motion was seconded by Alderperson Blake. The motion carried on roll call by each Alderperson present answering “yes.”
