Community Unit School District #201 Board of Education met March 18.

CALL TO ORDER

On March 18, 2025 at 6:31 p.m. Vice-President Conover called to order the regular meeting of the Community Unit School District 201 Board of Education.

Roll Call

Members Present: Whitney Rogers, Jessica Radogno, Carlos Radogno, Kevin Marren, Leah Conover

Adina Hoover entered the meeting at 6:44 p.m.

Members Absent: Angela Steketee

Also present: Superintendent Jack Baldermann , and the Superintendent’s Administrative Assistant, Shannon Cossairt.

Pledge of Allegiance

Vice-President Conover led the Assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

CLOSED SESSION

Motion by Mr. Hevia, second by Ms. Rogers, to enter closed session to discuss personnel issues, student discipline, sale or lease of real property, and superintendent evaluation.

Ayes: Hevia, Marren, Conover, Radogno, Rogers

Nays: None

Motion Carried.

The Board entered closed session at 6:32 p.m.

Adina Hoover entered the meeting at 6:44 p.m.

The Board returned to open session at 7:24 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

February 25, 2025

Motion by Ms. Radogno, second by Ms. Rogers, to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education; as presented.

Ayes: Hevia, Marren, Conover, Radogno, Rogers, Hoover

Nays: None.

Motion Carried.

February 25, 2025 Closed Minutes

Motion by Mr. Hevia, second by Mr. Marren, to approve the minutes of the closed session of the February 25, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education, as presented.

Ayes: Hevia, Marren, Conover, Radogno, Rogers, Hoover Nays: None.

Motion Carried.

Motion by Mr. Hevia, second by Mr. Marren, to approve the consent agenda as presented:

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

Communication

Superintendent Baldermann is very proud of the students. The kids are working hard. The awards the District has received are very real and due to the work and overachieving of everyone.

BOARD REPORTS

Carlos Hevia reported that he attended the DuPage Division Dinner. They acknowledged Dr. Hoover as the award winner at Tri-Conference. Ms. Radogno was pleased to see so many families involved in all the recent District events. Dr. Hoover wants to acknowledge all the students who are moving to the next level in the sports competitions. Whitney Rogers would like to acknowledge alumni Abraham Johnson who was just recognized in the Top 10 at Eastern.
