Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) Foundation will hold its first Big 20 Bow Fishing Trailered Tournament and Fundraiser from July 23-24 at the Elizabethtown, Illinois boat ramp on the Ohio River.
The tournament is limited to the first 30 boats registered with teams consisting of a maximum of four people per boat. The event will include a mandatory boat safety and rules meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by the start of tournament at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. Weigh-in begins at 7 a.m. the following day.
The team in first place will receive a $1,000 payout, with additional spots obtaining payouts based on the number of participating boats. There will also be raffles, door prizes and giveaways.
The entry fee is $150 per boat and $25 per boat for Big Fish.
Proceeds will support SIC students.
Teams can register and pay entry fees on the day of the tournament, as well as by mail or in-person to the SIC President Office. The office must receive entry forms, waivers and entry fees by 4 p.m. Thursday, July 21.
