Minutes of the Special Meeting — May 12, 2016
Benton City Council meeting held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in the Benton Municipal Building located at 500 West Main Street, Benton, Illinois.
Mayor Kondritz called the meeting to order and directed roll to be called. Those present were Commissioner Baumgarte, Commissioner Wyant, Commissioner Storey, and Mayor Kondritz. Commissioner Miller was absent.
Commissioner Wyant made a motion to accept the resignation of zoning administrator/code enforcer Chris Flener. Second by Commissioner Baumgarte.
Vote was taken. Yeas: 4. Commissioner baumgarte, commissioner wyant, commissioner storey, and mayor kondritz. Nays: 0.
Commissioner Wyant made a motion to hire David Garavalia as zoning and code enforcer officer/economic development administrator. Second by Commissioner Storey.
Vote was taken. Yeas: 4. Commissioner Baumgarte, Commissioner Wyant, Commissioner Storey, and Mayor Kondritz. Nays: 0.
Commissioner Wyant made a motion to adjourn. Second by Commissioner Storey. Vote was taken. Yeas: 4. Commissioner Baumgarte, Commissioner Wyant, Commissioner Storey, and Mayor Kondritz. Nays: 0.
