Freeburg Electric Committee reviews South Loop extension project

Village of Freeburg Electric Committee met Wednesday, May 11.

The committee meets on  at 5:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday after the first board meeting of the month at Village Hall.

ELECTRIC COMMITTEE MEETING WILLAGE AT TORNEY

(Blaies/Albers/Matchett/Pruett) Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting of the Electric Committee was called to order at 6:04 p.m. on

Wednesday, May 11, 2016 by Chairman Mike Blaies. Committee members present were Chairman Mike Blaies, Trustee Denise Albers, Trustee Ray Matchett, Trustee Dean Pruett, Mayor Seth Speiser, Village Clerk Jerry Menard (absent), Trustee Lisa Meehling, Trustee Matt Trout, Public Works Director John Tolan, Head Lineman Shane Krauss, Village Administrator Tony Funderburg (absent) and Office Manager Julie Polson.

A. OLD BUSINESS:

1. Approval of April 13, 2016 Minutes: Trustee Ray Matchett motioned to approve the April 13, 2016 minutes and Trustee Dean Pruett seconded the motion. All voting yea, the motion carried.

2. Surplus Equipment: Head Lineman Shane Krauss advised the dump truck and water truck on there. Mr. Fischer purchased the car and has picked it up.

3. IMEA Grant Program: Public Works Director John Tolan said we received our money for the energy efficiency program. Shane bought lights with the remaining money. He said LED lights have been installed from Ankus north on Rt. 15. He is happy with the look o them and we are saving energy. We will continue to replace the current lights with LEDs.

4. South Loop Extension: Shane advised the project has started and is moving along. John said it looks like the Wolfs are going to annex in on Olfd Freeburg Road. They were told no by FSH and Ameren, so they will come to us for their utilities.

5. Resident's Electric/Annexation: We have not heard anyting. Item can be taken off the agenda for now,

6. Inspections of Net Metering Systems: Shane said this is resolved. We can use our existing service inspection form. Item can be taken off the agenda.

7. Apprentice Lineman/Lineman Position: We will accept applications through next Friday, May 20th.

B. NEW BUSINESS: Shane advised we are still waiting on our truck.

C. GENERAL CONCERNS: NOne.

D. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: NOne.

E. ADJOURN: Trustee Dean Pruett motioned to adjourn at 6:13 p.m. and Trustee Ray Matchett seonded the motion. All voting yea, the motion carried.
