Anne West Lindsey District Library Board accepts additions to policy manual

Anne West Lindsey District Library Board of Trustees met Tuesday, May 24.

May 24, 2016

All board members were present except Elaine Miskell and Jim Koonce. Staffmembers attending were Mary Stoner, Pam Alstat, and Dave Cole.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by board president, Bill Slider and a quorum was determined.

The agenda was approved with a motion made by Butch Waggoner; seconded by Debbie Johnson.

Minutes from the April 26, 2016 meeting were read and approved with a motion made by Butch Waggoner; seconded by Debbie Johnson.

The financial secretary’s report was presented by Dave Cole and accepted with a motion made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Pat Searcy.

The library director’s report was presented by Mary Stoner and accepted with a motion made by Butch Waggoner; seconded by Sheri Hunter.

A motion was made by Sheri Hunter; seconded by Butch Waggoner to accept additions to the Policy Manual.

A motion to approve the Personnel Committee Report was made by Butch Waggoner; seconded by Debbie Johnson.

A motion to have a Special Board Meeting to discuss the budget on June 3rd at 4 p.m. was made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Butch Waggoner.

A motion to match the Women’s Life Grant of up to $500 for island beautification in the front of the Library was made by Pat Searcy; seconded by Sheri Hunter.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. with a motion by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Sheri Hunter.

The next regular board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on July 26, 2016.
