Four members of the Southern Illinois baseball team continued to do well in the Northwoods League, reports siusalukis.com.
Going into Wednesday's action, Greg Lambert, playing for Wilmar, was tied for the league lead in RBIs with 60 and was sixth in batting average at .328. He also had six home runs and 52 runs scored.
Connor Kopach, playing for Kalamazoo, led the league with 47 stolen bases and was second in runs scored with 56. He was batting .284 with five home runs and 26 RBIs.
Nick Hutchins, a catcher for Kalamazoo, was batting .317, making him the top-hitting catcher in the league. He also had 14 doubles, seven homers and 45 RBIs.
Jake Hand, who plays for Waterloo, recently had a three-hit game July 27 against Thunder Bay. He was batting .234 with 17 runs, two home runs and 11 RBIs.
