Reid Cure, baseball coach and sports information director at Morthland College, has been named the school's interim athletic director, MorthlandPatriots.com reported.
Cure moved into the interim role at the end of August to replace Charles “Buddy” Foster, who resigned to become the head softball coach at Greenville (Illinois) College.
Cure played baseball and worked as a sports information intern at Missouri Baptist University before moving on to become the American Midwest Conference's first full-time sports information director. He came to Morthland from there, and plans to continue serving in his non-interim capacities for this school year.
Foster came to Morthland in 2015 from Southern Illinois University, where he was the assistant softball coach from 2013-15. He helped implement Morthland's Patriot Academic Support Service and was in charge of the athletic department during a growth period that included the addition of the Athletic Building.
