SIC campus greener with Math & Science Club recycling program

Recycling program

The Southeastern Illinois College Math & Science Club has taken the initiative to make its campus greener by starting a campus-wide plastics and aluminum recycling program.

In the initial week of the program, club members collected 15 pounds of aluminum and 25 pounds of plastic. The students hope to gather even more items as word spreads about the program. Recycling canisters were placed in the upper lobby of A/B building, the library, nursing lounge, cafeteria, and theatre lobby.

Club sponsors include biology instructor Aaron Poole, Math & Science Chair Jason Fitzgerald and physics instructor Aaron Aul.
