Southern Illinois football players Chase Allen, D.J. Davis and Austin Olsen each received honorable mention on this year's All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Team, according to siusalukis.com.
Allen, a senior linebacker, was the Salukis' leading tackler this season – becoming the second player to lead the team in that category for three straight seasons – and ended up 12th in career tackles for the program. His 77 tackles this season were the 10th most in the league.
Davis, a freshman return specialist, ranked fifth in the league in all-purpose yards per contest and was first in kick-return average. Among all freshmen in the Football Championship Subdivision, he was second in kick-return average.
Olsen, a junior left tackle, was a major part of the foundation of SIU's high-powered offense, starting all 11 games and reaching 22 starts in a row in his career.
