UPDATES*

The Committee was given information on an electronic recycling and will bring back after the first of the year. A brochure and proposal from CJD E-Cycling was in the packet to look over and bring back for later discussion. This company charges by the pound.

Frank Walsh with WWTP made a correction from a motion that came out of the 10-26-2016 meeting. He still needs the pump ordered and was in his budget. The pump has a 6-8 week turnaround. The consensus was to go ahead and order the materials needed.

The Mayor gave an Abatement update saying we are now concentrating on dilapidated exteriors and garages since the weather has changed. We are looking into the safety of these homes and the landlords are still renting them out. The wiring and plumbing of these homes would not pass an inspection. The Committee has a copy of month of October abatements to view.

HMG gave updates on the active projects with the City. The pay request for the Sewer Separation project #2 will be coming soon. Several repairs have been made from collapsed pipes and have fixed the storm sewer. We will be approving payment # 5. We are starting design for the 12th project after the utilities have been marked and the surveying complete. The Splash Pad Park plans have been finalized. We are ready for the permitting and engineering. The Marberry Drive sewer quote came in lower than expected. We can do a lot of in-house work on that job. The conversion at the Water Filtration Plant is still coming along. We are texting the water making sure it is free from any bacteria; we always have negative results. December we will begin the influent screen project.

Moved by Alderman Charles Barfield and Second by Alderman Mike Hall to adjourn;
