The Southern Illinois Miners recently released their promotional schedule for the 2017 season, according to the team's website.
New theme nights include Italian Heritage Night on June 16, Cancer Sucks Night on June 17 and Video Game Night on July 28.
Traditional theme nights returning this season include Disney Character Night on June 9, Star Wars Character Night on July 1, and Bark in the Park on May 20 and Aug. 27.
Former American League MVP Jose Canseco will make an appearance on July 16. Baseball entertainer and instructor Domingo Ayala will come to Rent One Park on July 15.
Murphy 500 will have a postgame concert on May 12 for the season opener against Evansville, and Adelaide will perform after the game on July 29. Appreciation nights will be held for the military (June 30), Little League (July 15), firefighters (July 20), police officers (Aug. 10) and farmers (Aug. 25).
