Hamilton County school board purchases used busses

The Hamilton County Community Unit School District 10 Board of Education met Nov. 1 to purchase used busses.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the board:

The Board of Education of Hamilton County Community Unit School District No. 10 met in a special session on the morning of November 1, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., in the Unit Office.

The meeting was called to order by Board President Steve Becker and Roll Call was as follows: Present – Danny Anselment, Randy Kirsch, Larry Launius, Dennis Lynch, Tom Maulding, Tim Millenbine, and Steve Becker.

Motion by Launius, second by Anselment to post for a Parent Educator/Baby Talk Specialist. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Millenbine, second by Anselment to purchase up to seven used buses from West Bus Sales, not to exceed $95,000 in total. Roll Call Vote - Voting Yes - Millenbine, Anselment, Kirsch, Launius, Lynch, Maulding, and Becker. Motion carried.

Motion by Kirsch, second by Maulding to table the agreement between Hamilton County Community Unit School District #10 and Dahlgren Township with Alliance WOR Properties, LLC and Hamilton County Coal, LLC Regarding the Assessment, Tax Abatement, and Pilot Payments on Properties Commonly known as Hamilton County Coal. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Launius, second by Lynch to adjourn the meeting. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:33 a.m.
