David Sloan, a guard from Louisville, Kentucky, has signed is joining the John A. Logan College (JALC) men's basketball program, the school's website reports.
Prior to last season, Sloan averaged more than 20 points per game as a junior for Taylor County High School near Louisville. Sloan spent last year with the 22ft Basketball Academy in Greenville, South Carolina, that works on skills while preparing young men for college.
Sloan is listed as a 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard. The JALC website reported that Sloan was also being recruiting by NCAA Division I schools, including Butler, Iowa State, Louisville, Memphis and Missouri.
“I feel real good about signing with Logan,” Sloan said. “When I made my campus visit, it seemed like I was home. I’m really looking forward to playing for the Volunteers.”
JALC head coach Kyle Smithpeters said Sloan has “a chance to be one of the elite players in the nation," according to the school website.
