City of Carmi City Council met May 16.

Here is the agenda as provided by the Council:

Call to order by Mayor Pollard, Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call.

Approve May 2, 2017 Council Meeting Minutes.

Approve April 2017 Financial Reports for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

Approve and authorize May 2017 vendor invoices for the City of Carmi and Light & Water Departments.

For council consideration, discussion and possible approval:

Resolution 05-16-17, a resolution to appoint Cynthia J. Attebury as the Authorized Agent for the IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund).

Ordinance #1525, an ordinance approving TIF#1 Redevelopment Agreement #7 between the City of Carmi, White County, Illinois and Bentley Enterprises.

Carroll Dozier, Burnt Prairie Village President will ask council to approve an Amendment to Water Purchase Contract.

David Coston, City Electrical Engineer, to give an update on the upgrades at the Light Plant, electrical system, and to discuss current and future electrical rates.

Reports and/or updates from Mayor Pollard.

Reports from Standing Committees.

Business or comments from visitors.

Closed Session to discuss personnel and property issues with no action to follow.
