Rep. Dave Severin (R- Benton) recently took to Facebook about a series of satellite office hours his staff has been holding at public libraries in his district, including the most recent one held at the Benton Public Library.
Severin said his staff had taken over the satellite office hours while he was in Springfield for the special session on the budget.
The office hours provide an opportunity to meet members of Severin's staff and to ask questions or make concerns heard, the posting said.
Severin said his staff has visited Crab Orchard Public Library, Zeigler Public Library, Herrin City Library, the Christopher Civic Center before the one at the Benton Public Library.
In addition to speaking with constituents, his staff members have also given each library a copy of the 100th Illinois General Assembly Blue Book, which are available for visitors at those locations.
