Rep. Dave Severin (R-Benton) is opening his doors for Carterville-area residents to offer concerns, complaints and compliments on local and statewide issues on Aug. 8.
Severin will hold satellite office hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Anne West Lindsey Library at 600 N. Division Street and Bryan Avenue in Carterville. Constituents of the 117th District are encouraged to meet with Severin's staff.

The 117th District encompasses Benton, Buckner, Carterville, Herrin, Marion and West Frankfort. Severin won the 2016 election over Democratic incumbent John Bradley. Both candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries.
Before his election to the House, Severin served on the Benton School District #47 Board of Education. He also owns a small business.
