Franklin County political hopefuls may pick up 2018 general primary petition packets at the Franklin County Election Office in the Campbell Building in Benton, according to a press release.
Petitions are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those running for county clerk, sheriff, treasurer, county board member and precinct committeeman, according to the release. Those running for office could begin circulating the petitions for signatures on Sept. 5.
Petition filing will also be conducted at the election office in the Campbell Building beginning on Nov. 27. The office will collect packets from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 1, then from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 4.
The Campbell Building is located at 901 Public Square in Benton.
