New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board met October 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of October 12, 2017, to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were: Hoffard, Bain, Craig, Mize, Ross, Lambert, and Hill. Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Ms. Baxter. Visitor present: Ashli Morris.

Motion by Craig seconded by Mize to approve the minutes of 09-14-17 board meeting, carried.

Motion by Craig seconded by Mize to approve and make public record the closed session minutes of the 09-14-17 board meeting, carried.

Motion by Lambert seconded by Hill to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $27,672., carried.

Administrative Reports: Calendar; IASB Resolutions: Enrollment update.

Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to approve the FY17 audit as presented, carried.

Motion by Bain seconded by Ross to approve the administrator’s salary and benefits report, carried.

Motion by Craig seconded by Lambert to convene to closed session at 7:04PM to discuss:

•Collective bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(2)

•The placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(10) carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Craig to resume to open session at 8:09PM, carried.

Motion by Craig seconded by Ross to approve the 2017-18 collective bargaining agreement as presented, carried.

Motion by Bain seconded by Hill to adjourn, carried.
