Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by president Angela Rudluff.

Roll Call: Beggs, present; Casey, present; Harris, present; Knaak, present; McIlwain, present; Moore, present;

Norris, present; Oliver, present; Penrod, present; Racey, present; Rudluff, present; Trigg, present; Webb,

present; West, present;

Superintendent, Kimberly Shoemaker, present; Superintendent Vicki Tripp, present

Motion made by McIlwain seconded by Casey at 7:01 to adjourn to close session for Adjournment (Action

Item) 5 ILCS 120/2

 The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of 

the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an 

employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1).

 Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations

concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).

 Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular District has been filed and is pending

before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the District finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which

case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the closed meeting minutes. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(11).

Motion by Racey seconded by Harris to return to open session at 7:53pm.

Motion by McIlwain seconded by Trigg to rescind the offer of employment for Gregory Harris as Head Boys

Basketball Coach based upon unsuccessful completion of a background check..

Motion by Racey seconded by Casey to hire Justin Vaughn as head boys basketball coach for the 2017-2018

school year.

Motion by McIlwain seconded by Racey to hire Sergio Da La Cruz as assistant boys basketball coach for the

2017-2018 school year pending a successful background check.
