Old Business

- As discussed during last month’s meeting, Supervisor Gray indicated the first installment of Real Estate tax receipts in the amount of $167,589.40 has been received and deposited to the various funds. As a result, no adjustments will be needed in order to fund any payroll taxes due.

has been received.

- As required by the State and, as a provision called for during the completion of the Annual Financial Review (AFR), a document confirming a full audit is not required was signed by each elected official.

- Clydus mentioned the annual tax levy will be completed and provided for approval at next month’s meeting. The deadline for submission of the levy to the County is December 26th.

- In regard to the tax levy, Road Commissioner Bob Drake indicated that while sufficient funds are on hand at this point, it may become necessary to request a “Truth in Taxation” hearing next year. It is his understanding that Motor Fuel Tax funds may be cut by as much as twenty percent and reimbursement for equipment by as much as fifty percent. If that occurs, the ability for complete needed projects will be significantly affected. At this point, the exact adjustments to the distributions are not known.
