Jasper Community Consolidated School District 17 Board met December 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President pro tem Rennie Cates and Derek Demaret taking the minutes, on December 21, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:

Present at the hearing: Rennie Cates, Lachelle Thompson, Chris Barbre and Derek Demaret

Absent at the hearing: Blaine Norton, Chris Otey & Eric Gruen

The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session, bills and payrolls were then approved on a motion by Chris Barbre and seconded by Lachelle Thompson. The votes were as follows:

Blaine Norton – absent Lachelle Thompson – yes

Chris Otey –absent Chris Barbre – yes

Eric Gruen – absent Derek Demaret – yes

Rennie Cates – yes

A motion was made by Chris Barbe and seconded by Chris Barbre to approve the FY 19 school calendar. The votes were as follows:

Blaine Norton – absent Lachelle Thompson – yes

Chris Otey –absent Chris Barbre – yes

Eric Gruen – absent Derek Demaret – yes

Rennie Cates – yes

A motion was made by Chris Barbre and seconded by Derek Demaret to eliminate executive session minutes from June 2015. The votes were as follows:

Blaine Norton – absent Lachelle Thompson – yes

Chris Otey –absent Chris Barbre – yes

Eric Gruen – absent Derek Demaret – yes

Rennie Cates – yes

A final motion was made by Chris Barbre and seconded by Lachelle Thompson to adjourn at 6:52 p.m. The votes were as follows:

Blaine Norton – absent Lachelle Thompson – yes

Chris Otey –absent Chris Barbre – yes

Eric Gruen – absent Derek Demaret – yes

Rennie Cates – yes
