Eldorado Memorial Public Library Board met November 9. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Present : Trustees-Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Janet Davis, Mike Vessell, Jeff Campbell, Bookkeeper- Patsy Simpson and Library Director- Felicia Murray

Absent : Janet Davis and Susan Justice

Public Citizenry : None

President Sheila Baird opened the meeting at 5:01 PM

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as presented.

Bob Barker presented the treasurer’s report. There were no outstanding issues. Mike Vessell made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and to pay the bills. Walter Baker seconded the motion. All present voted aye with a roll call vote.

Felicia Murray presented the librarian’s report. The previous month’s circulation was 2926 for a year to date total of 11280. There were 262 e-resources circulated with a year to date total of 1154. There were 424 loaned items and 751 borrowed items, including 25 in state loans and 0 out of state loans. There were 19 new patrons registered for a total of 3809 registered patrons. Computer users totaled 587 for a year to date total of 2381. Total receipts amounted to $3996. 00, including $482.30 from Gallatin County and $577.14 from the City of Eldorado, a $1920.00 reimbursement from Clearwave and a $275.00 reimbursement from IHLS.

Old Business

1. The ac unit still needs to be raised a couple of feet.

New Business

1. Tax Levy Ordinance # 153 : Bob Barker made a motion to pass Tax Ordinance Levy # 153. Mike Vessell seconded the motion. All present voted aye with a roll call vote.

2. Ameren Grant : Installation of the new led light bulbs has been completed

5. Live and Learn Grant : Felicia Murray is still working on this grant to replace the carpet

6. YALSA Symposium : Felicia Murray and Sherri Wasson attend a Yalsa symposium in Louisville Ky. Mrs. Murray reported that this event was well worth attending.

7. Safety Training : It may not be necessary for all trustees to participate in safety training in order qualify for the Per Capita Grant. Felicia Murray will check into this matter.

6. Safety Training for the Library Personnel : Felicia Murray asked the board’s permission to close the library for one day, after Christmas, to conduct safety training for the library staff. Walter Baker made a motion to allow the library to close one day for this training. Bob Barker seconded the motion and all present voted aye with a roll call vote
