The Board of Education of Allendale School District #17, Wabash County, Illinois, met in regular session on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The meeting was held at the Allendale School, 101 N. Third Street, Allendale, IL. President Gary Buchanan called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.
The following members were present: Beth Etzkorn
Richard Gochenour
Miles Marcotte
Mike Wilson
Also present was Supt. Bob Bowser and Administrative Asst. Sarah Courter.
Absent were Gary Buchanan, Tia Morgan, Amanda Thombleson. Thombleson entered at 6:15 p.m.
Approve Consent Agenda
Richard Gochenour made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: Minutes of the Regular
Meeting held Wednesday, December 20, 2017; Minutes of the Closed Meeting held Wednesday,
December 20, 2017; Financial Reports – Treasurer’s Report, Activity Fund, Imprest Fund; Gross Payrolls,
and Bills exclusive of Payroll. Upon said motion being seconded by Mike Wilson, Acting-President Beth
Etzkorn put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

Citizen - None
Staff – The family of Don Grounds sent a thank you card for the funeral flowers.
Administration – Superintendent Bob Bowser gave updates on the following: Financial
Update - 1% Sales Tax payments has started to arrive - deposits scheduled for the 5th of
each month; Breakfast/Lunch - current loss for the year is at -$1,674.99, average B/L for
the year to date is 45/86 students; Sports Update Volleyball has started (18 on team);
Basketball will be competing in the 5th/6th grade tourney/B-Team Tourney at
Cisne/Regionals at WVC; Transportation Update - $0.00 from State; Facility Update -
anticipating a high gas/electric bill due to running heat non-stop through below-freezing
temperatures.

Mike Wilson made the motion to approve the Superintendent evaluation as presented. Upon said motion
being seconded by Richard Gochenour, the Acting-President put the question and the roll being called, the

Approval of Certified Seniority List for 2017-2018
Richard Gochenour moved to approve the Certified Seniority List for 2017-2018 as presented. (copy
follows) Upon said motion being seconded by Amanda Thombleson, the voice vote was taken and the
motion carried.
Resolution - Tax Levy Abatement
Amanda Thombleson made the motion to approve the resolution for the tax levy abatement. Upon said
motion being seconded by Mike Wilson the Acting-President put the question and the roll being called,
the following members voted:

of price for lease of property. Upon said motion being seconded by Amanda Thombleson, the
Acting-President put the question, and the roll being called, the following members voted:
