The Board of Education of Eldorado C.U.S.D. #4 met in Regular session on Thursday, February 15,
2018 in the Board Room #219. Board President, Keith Oglesby, called the hearing to order at 7:00 p.m.
Board members present and answering roll call were: Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, Stacy James, Preston
Justice and Keith Oglesby. Absent: David Bartok and Jason Kasiar. Present: Supt. Ryan Hobbs, Rick Cox,
Cody Cusic and Kim Butler, recording secretary. Others: Miranda Cain (EEA), Ed Kerkhover, Josh Bradley
and John Debose.
Recognize visitors for public comment: None.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the regular meeting minutes for 1-18-18 (Ref to Doc Reg
GG-1-22). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin
Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the January, 2018 Treasurer’s Report (Ref to Doc Reg GG-1-
23). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin
Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the payment of Unit #4 bills (Ref to Doc Reg GG-1-24).
Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin Bradley,
Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Keith Oglesby made a motion to approve the second reading and adoption of board policies 2:150-AP,
4:10, 4:15, 7:340-AP1,E5, 7:340-AP2, 7:340-AP2,E1, 8:20-E and 8:70 (Ref to Doc Reg GG-5-15). Preston
Justice seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin Bradley, Ron
Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Keith Oglesby made a motion to approve the first reading of board policies 4:80, 4:110, 4:110-AP2,
4:150, 4:170, 5:10, 5:20, 5:90, 5:100 and 5:100-AP (Ref to Doc Reg GG-5-16). Preston Justice seconded the
motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and
Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Ed Kerkhover gave an update on the high school track and heating and air conditioning at the
elementary.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the resignation letter from Mike Laswell as middle school
head softball coach (Ref to Doc Reg GG-4-2). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and
motion carried. Voting yes: Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None.
Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the middle school graduation date for May 17 and
the high school for May 18, 2018 (Ref to Doc Reg GG-6-21). Austin Bradley seconded the motion. Roll call
vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting
no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
Preston Justice made a motion to approve the Eagle Pride Athletics to use school facilities (Ref to Doc
Reg GG-6-22). Stacy James seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken and motion carried. Voting yes: Austin
Bradley, Ron Bradley, James, Justice and Oglesby. Voting no: None. Absent: Bartok and Kasiar.
