Report: Grayville spent $8,864 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Grayville Community Unit School District 1 is down 0 percent from five years ago, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the White County school district spent $8,865 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,864 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 339 to 321.

Grayville's spending in 2016-17 was 32 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
