Eldorado Memorial Public Library District Board of Trustees met April 12.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Present : Trustees- Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Janet Davis, Mike Vessell, Jeff Campbell, Bookkeeper- Patsy Simpson and Library Director-Felicia Murray.
Absent : Susan Justice
Public Citizenry : None
Pres. Sheila Baird called the meeting to order at 5:08 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as presented.
Bob Barker presented the treasurer’s report. There were no outstanding issues. Bob Barker made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and to pay the bills. Walter Baker seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Felicia Murray presented the librarian’s report. Circulation for the last month was 3022, with a year to date total of 25133. There were 291 e-resources circulated for a year to date total of 2469. Interlibrary loans totaled 473 loaned items and 769 borrowed items. There were 18 in state loans and 0 out of state loans. There were 14 new patrons registered for a total of 3861 patrons. Computer users totaled 503 for the month and 5086 for the year. Total receipts amounted to $1091.00, including $459.62 from the City of Eldorado.
Unfinished Business
AC platform : Still waiting to hear from Cannon Heating and Air.
Security System Upgrade : Still waiting to hear from Beam’s Alarms.
New Business
IHLS and SHARE Cloud renewal. The IHLS renewal is due at the cost of $4047.79 and the SHARE Cloud renewal is due at the cost of $421.54. Mike Vessell made a motion to renew both memberships. Janet Davis voted second. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Reaching Forward South : Miriam Richardson will attend this conference in Edwardsville Il on May 11th.
Grant Updates : The Back to Books Grant for $4999.00 has been submitted. This grant will be used to update juvenile fiction and non-fiction. The Mini Construction Grant is waiting final approval by Jesse White. Official notification should come in a few weeks.
McDonald’s Grant : Felicia Murray is working on this $500.00 grant to be used for young adult audio books.
Econ Statements : Trustees still have not received the annual econ statements.
