McLeansboro Township Board met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The meeting of the Mcleansboro Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Clydus Gray. The meeting was held at the Township building located at 105 Carpenter Street in McLeansboro, Illinois.

There were no public comments.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

Minutes from the March 2018 meeting were read by the Clerk. There being no corrections, a motion was made by Dennis Johnson and seconded by Kyle Ingram to approve the minutes as written. Motion carried.

Old Business

- Credit Card for Road Commissioner: Supervisor Gray indicated the credit card requested at the previous meeting by Road Commissioner Bob Drake has been approved and will be received within the next few days.

New Business

- Township Budget: Supervisor Gray presented a detailed summary of the proposed 2018-2019 operating budget for the Township. A motion was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Dennis Johnson to approve the tentative budget. Motion carried. The budget will be known as item 2018-2.

- Road District Budget: Road Commissioner Bob Drake also presented a summary of the proposed 2018-2019 operating budget for the Road District. A motion was made by Jamie Ellis and seconded by Dennis Johnson to approve the tentative budget. Motion carried. This budget will be known as item 2018-3.

Clerk Richard Woods was directed to post the budget at the Township office and to also place a notice in the McLeansboro Gazette stating that the budget will be on display until the next Township meeting.

Monthly Claims

- Road and Bridge Fund, Building and Equipment Fund and Permanent Road Fund claims were presented for review. Motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Jamie Ellis to pay those bills. Motion carried.

- Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims were also presented for review. Motion by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Jamie Ellis to pay those bills. Motion carried.

There being no further business to conduct, motion to adjourn was made by Kyle Ingram and seconded by Jamie Ellis. Motion carried.
