Rep. Dave Severin (R-Marion) had some parting gifts for his peers during the May 31 House floor debate.
Ending the 2018 spring and winter session with a T-shirt for each state representative, Severin said the bicycle logo was related to his legislation from 2017.
“[The] first bill I passed last year made cycling the state exercise,” Severin said.
He also drew attention to Megan Bugg, a teenage cancer survivor who has been raising funds to fight the disease.
“I challenge you to make a donation to the young lady on the House floor last week who is fighting cancer,” Severin said. “She raised $83,000, and her goal is to try and get to $100,000.”
He concluded by wishing everyone well.
