Eldorado Memorial Public Library District Board of Trustees met May 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Present : Trustees- Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Janet Davis, Mike Vessell, Bookkeeper- Patsy Simpson and Assistant Library Director-Miriam Richardson.
Absent : Trustee-Jeff Campbell and Library Director- Felicia Murray
Public Citizenry : None
President Sheila Baird called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented.
Bob Barker presented the treasurer’s report. There was an additional payment to the Evansville Courier for $231.11 that was not listed. There were no outstanding issues. Mr. Barker made a motion to accept the report and to pay the bills. Janet Davis seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Miriam Richardson presented the Librarian’s Report. There were 2802 items circulated for the month and a year total of 27395. E-resources circulated for the month numbered 289 for a year to date total of 2758. There were 452 loaned items and 641 borrowed items There were 600 computer users for the month and 5686 for the year. New patrons totaled 9 for a total of 3870.
Total receipts amounted to $7455.00, including the Per Capita grant of $5615.21 and $944.81 from the City of Eldorado.

New Business
1. Building and Maintenance Ordinance #154. Building and Maintenance Ordinance was adopted with a motion made by Mike Vessell and seconded by Janet Davis. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
2. Non-Resident Agreement Program and Fee : Tabled for future discussion.
3. OCLC & Gale Database Renewal : Tabled for future discussion.
4. Grant Updates : The Eldorado Library has been awarded the Live and Learn Grant in the amount of $35000.00 for new flooring. We have received the Back to Books Grant for $4999.00.
Other New Business.
1. The board of trustees met in a closed session to discuss a personnel matter. The closed session convened at 5:20 pm with a motion made by Mike Vessell and seconded by Walter Baker. The closed session adjourned at 5:25 with a motion made by Susan Justice and seconded by Walter Baker.
