3D Mammography Mobile Event in:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital will have their 3-D Mobile Mammography at the Egyptian Health Department in Carmi on Saturday, August 4th, with appointments beginning at 8:00a.m. No physician order needed for those who are over the age of 40. It must have been at least one year since your last Mammogram. Patients are asked to bring their insurance card, photo ID, and doctor’s contact information. This event is for annual screening Mammograms only. Individuals can call the FMH Diagnostic Imaging Department at 618-847-8249 to secure an appointment with one of FMH’s skilled technologists. Walk-Ins are also welcome.
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group:
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group will meet Saturday, August 4th from 11 a.m. - Noon, located in the Harlan Yates Board Room located in the FMH Medical Arts Complex. The MS Support Group meets the first Saturday of each month. For more information regarding this support group please call 618-847-8243.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital to host PALS for (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Training:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital will hold the next Pediatric Advanced Life Support class on August 2nd at 9 a.m. The cost is $30 for the PALS course. Should a CPR card be needed, there will be an additional $10 charge. These classes will be held in the Medical Arts Complex Education Room. If you would like to learn more or register for the course, please contact Deb Spillman, CMSRN, FMH Clinical Practice Coordinator, at 618-847-8241. Upcoming scheduled dates for Advanced Cardiac Life Support ($30 class fee): September 5th, and November 7th. Future class dates for Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes are as follows: October 29th, and December 5th. Please register one week prior to class, if possible.
CPR Classes:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s free monthly CPR Class will be held on Wednesday, August 1st at 9:30am. Pre-registration is required. To register, please call (618)847-8367.
First Aid/CPR Class:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is offering First Aid Certification to the public free of charge. The class will be held on August 8th at 8am to 12pm noon in the FMH Education Annex Building (former Union Hall) located on 10th Street. For more information or to pre-register call (618) 847-8367. Pre-registration is required.
Cancer Care Support Group:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital holds a Cancer Support Group meeting once a month on the second Thursday of the each month from 6-7 p.m. in the Medical Arts Complex Education Room with the next meeting being held, Thursday, August 9th.
Horizon Healthcare 10th Anniversary:
Come celebrate with us! Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Horizon Healthcare is turning 10 years old and in celebration of this milestone we will be hosting a community wide cookout with curbside service on August 15th from 10:30am-1:00pm on the east side of the Medical Arts Complex parking lot located at 213 NW 10th Street. We will be providing your choice of a pork burger, hamburger, hot dog, or brat along with chips, cookie, and a drink at no cost as our way of saying thank you for a wonderful 10 years and we look forward to being your provider of choice for many years to come! Coffee Club:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions will hold the next Coffee Club from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on August 16th. The Coffee Club will meet at the Fairfield Elks Lodge and is open to older adults. You do not have to be a participant in the Senior Life Solutions program to attend. Free blood pressure checks will also be offered at the Coffee Club.
Diabetes Support Group:
Join FMH on Thursday, August 16th for the Diabetes Support Group Meeting. Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s certified Diabetes Educator, Stephen Welty, RN, CDE, will lead a discussion on taking care of your feet and toes. The meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the FMH Medical Arts Complex Education Room.
Golf Tournament
Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation is holding its Fourteenth Annual Golf Scramble to raise funds to help support the expanding growth of the hospital.
