The regular meeting of the Jasper School Board of Education was called to order by Board President Blaine Norton and Derek Demaret taking the minutes, on July 12, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. with following board members present:
Board Members Present: Blaine Norton, Chris Otey, Rennie Cates, Lachelle Thompson & Derek Demaret
Board Members Absent: Eric Gruen & Chris Barbre
The consent agenda, which includes minutes of previous regular board meeting, executive session, bills and payrolls were then approved on a motion by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Rennie Cates. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Chris Otey and seconded by Rennie Cates to accept the handbook changes effective for the FY2019 school year as presented by the committee for the 2nd reading. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Rennie Cates and seconded by Lachelle Thompson to eliminate executive session minutes from January 2016. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Chris Otey and seconded by Rennie Cates to approve the resolution to transfer a portion of the FY 2019 GSA to the O&M Fund. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Rennie Cates and seconded by Lachelle Thompson approve the resolution in opposition to Illinois proposed mandated curriculum. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Otey to accept the 1st reading of the PRESS policy and adopt as presented. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Otey to hire Hanna Harrison as a personal aide to flex between 1st grade and resource. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Rennie Cates to award fuel bid for the FY2019 year to Wabash Valley FS at a firm price of gasoline at 2.414 per gallon and diesel at 2.662 per gallon. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Lachelle Thompson and seconded by Chris Otey to award propane bid for the FY2019 year to Wabash Valley FS at a firm price of 1.197. The votes were as follows:

A motion was made by Chris Otey and seconded by Rennie Cates to present faculty staff with a one-time bonus of $750 at the start of school. The votes were as follows:
