Frontier Community College enrolls 1,791 undergrads

At Frontier Community College, 50 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Fairfield enrolled 1,791 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (96 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (2 percent).
