City of Albion City Council met Aug. 8.

The Albion City Council met for a special council session on Aug 8, 2018 6:30 p.m. in the Albion City Hall. Mayor John Henze called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Council Members Present – Eric Eirikson, Kim Dostal, Pat Hemming, Eric Schmidt, and Jordan Hinkle
Motion to approve agenda by Hemming and seconded by Schmidt. Motion passed 5-0.
Motion by Hemming and seconded by Dostal to approve going forward with Veensta &Kim, City of Marshalltown, Bike Trail Association for the hoop-up of Albion to the Marshalltown Water Works. Motion passed 5-0.
Motion by Dostal and seconded by Hemming to approve entering into a contract with Alhers Cooney – Kristine Stone for litigation that may arise in the hook-up of water to Marshalltown Water Works, Motion passed 5-0.
Motion by Hemming and seconded by Schmidt to approve the loan closing with Heart of Iowa Cooperatives for December 1, 2018 for the demolition and asbestos removal of ACC. Motion passed 5-0.
Hemming motioned and Dostal seconded to adjourn. Motion passed 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 6:47pm
