Grayville Community Unit School District 1 students suspended 14 times in a single school year

Grayville Community Unit School District 1 reported 14 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 14 students during the year. That equates to 4.4 percent of the 321 students enrolled.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 13 incidents. For 11 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes one incidents. For one incidents, students were suspended for 5-10 days.
