Eldorado Memorial Public Library District Board of Trustees met July 12.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
Present : Trustees-Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Janet Davis, Mike Vessell, and Jeff Campbell, Bookkeeper-Patsy Simpson and Library Director Felicia Murray
Absent : Trustee- Susan Justice
Public Citizenry : None
President Sheila Baird called the meeting to order at 5:09 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as presented.
Bob Barker presented the treasurer’s report. There were no outstanding issues. Mike Vessell made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and to pay the bills. Walter Baker seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Felicia Murray presented the librarian’s report. Circulation for the month was 2923 items for a year to date total of 33193. There were 340 e resources circulated with a year to date total of 3382. There were 415 loaned items and 790 borrowed items. There were 10 in state loans and 0 out of state loans. There were 19 new patrons registered for a total of 3887 patrons. Computer users totaled 556 for the month for a year to date total of 6781. Total receipts amounted to $519.10. Felicia Murray noted an increase of 616 circulated items, 293 e-resources, 172 patrons and 362 computer users from the previous year.

New Business
Audit of the Secretary’s Minutes : Sheila Baird and Janet Davis volunteered to audit the minutes.
Non Resident Fee : After some discussion Mike Vessell made a motion to keep the annual non-resident fee at $90.00 Janet Davis seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
ALA Report : Felicia Murray attended the ALA conference in New Orleans. Mrs. Murray felt that the conference was worth attending. The library received $1535.17 worth of books, with expenses of only $300.00
Budget Committee Meeting : The budget committee, consisting of Walter Baker, Jeff Campbell, Bob Barker, Patsy Simpson and Felicia Murray will meet on August 6th, 2018 at 5:00 PM
OMA : All current trustees will need to take the OMA training when it is next convenient. This training can be taken at the library or at home. The trustees will just need to print a certificate of completion and give it to Felicia Murray.
Janet Davis Resignation : Janet Davis resigned her position as trustee, effective immediately. Bob Barker made a motion to accept Mrs. Davis’s resignation. Walter Baker seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Personnel Raises : Bob Barker proposed a 5% raise in all staff salaries, including Bookkeeper Patsy Simpson. Janet Davis made the motion to approve the recommendation and Bob Barker voted second. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
