FRONTIER COMMUNITY COLLEGE: FCC to Host FAFSA Completion Night October 16

School

Frontier Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.

Frontier Community College is hosting a FAFSA Completion Night on Tuesday, October 16, from 4-6 p.m. The come-and-go event will be held in Room 32 of Workforce Development Center on Frontier’s campus in Fairfield. The FAFSA Completion Night is open to anyone in the community who plans to attend college in 2019. “Attending this event makes the financial aid process much easier for both students and parents,” said Lori Noe, Coordinator of Financial Aid. “Those who complete their applications earlier may also be eligible to receive more state funding.” Noe and her assistant Catherine Halterman will be available to guide individuals through the process and answer questions regarding financial aid.

What is FAFSA?

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Anyone who anticipates financial aid for college will need to complete the FAFSA application, as it is used to determine the amount awarded in federal and state grants and student loans. The website is www.fafsa.gov.

Items Needed to Complete Application

Individuals should bring the following items with them to the FAFSA Completion Night:

- Social security number (student’s and parents’ if a dependent)

- Student’s driver license

- 2017 federal tax returns

Scholarship information is posted on Frontier Community College’s website in the left column under the Financial Aid tab. There are program-specific scholarships as well as tuition waivers and scholarship applications.

The FAFSA Completion Nights are open to all college students, regardless
