Eldorado Memorial Public Library District Board of Trustees met August 9.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
Present : Trustees- Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Dolly Mace, and Jeff Campbell, Bookkeeper- Patsy Simpson and Library Director- Felicia Murray
Absent : Trustees- Susan Justice and Mike Vessell
Public Citizenry : None
President Sheila Baird called the meeting to order at 5:05 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as presented.
Bob Barker presented the treasurer’s report. There were no outstanding issues. There was an additional $50.00 bill for postage not listed in the written report. Bob Barker made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report and to pay the bills. Jeff Campbell seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Felicia Murray presented the Librarian’s Report. There were 2969 items circulated for the month and 2969 for the year to date ( new fiscal year). E-resources totaled 371 for the month and 371 for the year to date. There were 385 loaned items and 875 borrowed items for the month. There were 19 in state loans and 0 out of state loans. New patrons totaled 23 for the month for an overall total of 3909. Computer users totaled 397 for the month and 397 for the year to date. There were 629 Wifi users for the month with a year to date total of 629. Total receipts amounted to $10921.00 including $750.44 from the City of Eldorado, $500.00 from the McDonald’s Grant $9040.00 from the Per Capita Grant and $119.30 from E-Pay.

Vacancy of Trustee Janet Davis : Mrs. Dolly Mace was approved as a trustee to fill the vacancy left by Janet Davis with a motion made by Jeff Campbell and seconded by Walter Baker. All voted aye.
Budget and Appropriations Hearing : The annual budget and appropriations hearing will be held on Thursday Sept 13th 2018 at the monthly Board of Trustees Meeting.
Grant Updates : The library has received the Per Capita Grant for $9040.00. Felicia Murray is waiting to meet with architect John Baker to discuss the new flooring which will be covered by the Live and Learn Grant. The $500.00 McDonald’s grant will be used to purchase audio books. The Back to Books Grant is being used to purchase new juvenile literature.
IHLS Booth : Felicia Murray will be at the IHLS booth at the Duquoin State Fair on Tue. August 28th from 3-6 PM.
Secretary’s Audit : Dolly Mace has agreed to audit the secretary’s minutes from the previous year in place of Janet Davis.
Up Coming Events : The Book to Movie Club will meet on Sat August 14TH. The next book review will be on Mon. August 13th at 10:00AM. The Friends of The Eldorado Library will be at 5:30 PM on Monday August 27TH
