Eldorado Memorial Public Library District Board of Trustees met September 13.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
Present : Trustees- Walter Baker, Bob Barker, Sheila Baird, Dolly Mace, Mike Vessell, Jeff Campbell, Bookkeeper-Patsy Simpson and Assistant Library Director Miriam Richardson
Absent : Trustee- Susan Justice and Library Director Felicia Murray
Public Citizenry : None
President Sheila Baird opened the meeting at 5:11 PM
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as presented.
Bob Barker presented the Treasurer’s Report. One bill in the amount of $42.90(audio books) was omitted from the expenses. There were no outstanding issues. Dolly Mace made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report and to pay the bills. Jeff Campbell seconded the motion. All voted aye with a roll call vote.
Miriam Richardson presented the Librarian’s Report. Circulation for the month was 2585 items with a year to date total of 5554. There were 313 3M items circulated for the month with a year to date total of 684. Loaned items totaled 471 for the month and 856 for the year. Borrowed items totaled 781 for the month and 1656 for the year. There were 18 in state loans for the month and 37 for the year to date. Out of state loans were 0 for the month and year to date. There were 25 new patrons registered for a total of 3924. Computer users numbered 399 for the month and 796 for the year to date. There were 232 WiFi usres for the month and 439 for the year to date. Total receipts amounted to $773.00 including $75.85 from the City of Eldorado
New Business
Budget and Appropriations Ordinance #156 Hearing : The hearing was held prior to the regular meeting on Sept 13, 2018. Ordinance #156 was approved and adopted.
Trustee Elections : Jeff Campbell and Dolly Mace received their petitions to run for re-election to the board in April 2019.
Library Card Sign up Month : September is Library Card Sign Up Month. There will be a display and information in the library.
Old Business
Grant Updates : The McDonalds Grant has been used to purchase audio books. The library has received about one third of the new juvenile books purchased with the Back to Books Grant. Felicia Murray has been getting more information about the new flooring which will be purchased with the Live And Learn Grant.
