Voters in Hamilton County said "yes" to both referendums on the Nov. 6 ballot.
County voters approved the referendum asking: "Should the Illinois General Assembly amend the state constitution to ban the implementation of a statewide 1% property tax increase?"
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 2,392 were in favor and 824 opposed the measure.
Voters in the Village of Dahlgren approved a liquor sale referendum, which asked: "Shall the Village of Dahlgren, by resolution or general ordinance, regulate the sale of alcoholic liquor within the corporate limits of the Village and determine the kind, number and classification of licenses to be issued, for sale at retail of alcoholic liquor, and the license fees to be paid for the various kinds of licenses?"
With 100 percent of the votes counted, 126 were in favor and 52 opposed the referendum.
