VICKERY FUNERAL CHAPEL - SHAWNEETOWN: Nancy P. (Cullum) Fals

Vickery Funeral Chapel - Shawneetown issued the following announcement.

Nancy P. Fals, 86, of Harrisburg, Ill., formerly of Shawneetown, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at her home at the Villas of Holly Brook in Harrisburg. She was born in Campbell, Missouri on April 30, 1932, the daughter of the late James H. and Cora (Thrasher) Cullum. Nancy married Cedric R. Fals on August 23, 1951. Cedric preceded Nancy in death on August 5, 2005. Nancy worked for several years at Eldorado Care Nursing Home as a cook. 

She was also a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Cathy and Rick Koker of Wetumpka, Ala., Debbie Brown of Shawneetown; one son, Steve and Sheila Fals of Omaha; two brothers, Edgar Cullum of North Chicago, John and Mabel Cullum of Momence; eight grandchildren, Angela, Tina, Kim, Shelly, John, Liz, Teresa, and Stephen; eleven great grandchildren. Also she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Betty Bowman, Daisy Hill, and Birdie Dewitt Caudill; three brothers, Jasee Cullum, Loyal Wayne “Bugs” Cullum, and Jessie Hill; one son, Danny Fals; and one great granddaughter, Brittany Richardson. 

Visitation for Nancy will be held on Thursday, December 13th from 5 to 7 p.m. with prayer service at 5 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Funeral Mass will be the following day on Friday, December 14th at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway at 10 a.m. with Father Steven Beatty officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway. Donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
