Report: Eldorado spent $9,749 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Eldorado Community Unit School District 4 is up 9.1 percent from five years ago, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Saline County school district spent $8,938 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,749 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1223 to 1192.

Eldorado's spending in 2017-18 was 26.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
