Report: North Wayne spent $10,430 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at North Wayne Community Unit School District 200 is up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to a SE Illinois News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Wayne County school district spent $9,446 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,430 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 453 to 385.

North Wayne's spending in 2017-18 was 21.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
