The price of local government in 2016: Village of Browns

The Village of Browns budget was $127,050 for its 2016 fiscal year, or $2,443 per household.

That's a decrease of 0.9 percent from 2015, when the village spent $128,260, or $2,467 per household.

Browns has 52 households and a population of 134.

Since 2001, the Village of Browns budget has fallen by 19.4 percent, from $157,607. The village population has fallen 37.1 percent over the same period, from 213.
