The price of local government in 2016: Village of Sims

The Village of Sims budget was $543,908 for its 2016 fiscal year, or $4,351 per household.

That's an increase of five percent from 2015, when the village spent $517,969, or $4,144 per household.

Sims has 125 households and a population of 300.

Since 2001, the Village of Sims budget has grown by 33.6 percent, from $406,969. The village population has remained same.

Salaries accounted for 11.8 percent of village spending in 2016. Sims property taxpayers paid $63,885 for three full-time employees and five part-time employees.
