Saline County Farm Bureau recently issued the following announcement.
River to River Agriculture Institute includes Gallatin, Jackson, Saline, Union and Williamson counties. The course is open to ALL ILLINOIS TEACHERS, grades Preschool - High School. Applicants that are selected will be notified. Space is limited and teachers in the 5 counties listed will fill spots first. SAI (Summer Ag Institute) is designed for educators who wish to expand their curriculum to include topics related to agriculture: the world's food and fiber system. The course focuses on how to integrate available resources and hands-on activities about agriculture and the environment into an existing classroom curriculum.
